Connecting is a journey...
…to open up the potential.
Lighthouse Psychoeducational Services
can help at any part of your child’s journey. Whether it’s at the
beginning of the journey when your child is a preschooler, at the end of
the journey when your teen/young adult is transitioning to life after
high school, or at any point in the middle of the journey, we can make
that journey a better growing experience that will culminate in your
child being a productive, independent adult to the best of his or her
ability.

In today’s complex society there are many demands and challenges faced by our children.
We all want them to be prepared for a successful future:
As a parent:
- Do you have a “gut” feeling that something is not going smoothly in your child’s development or progress in school?
- Has your pediatrician or school expressed concerns about your child’s development?
- Need help navigating the maze of assessment, services, and professionals to select what is best for your child?
As a professional colleague:
- Can’t quite figure out what a child’s or adolescent’s problem may be?
- Need a better handle on a child’s or adolescent’s strengths and weaknesses?
- Looking for help to provide the best treatment plan and interventions?
Lighthouse Psychoeducational Services is the first office in Southeastern Connecticut to offer specialization in this new and unique field.
“I know children and youth with a variety of learning,

Maureen F. Shea, NCSP/LPC.

“Let no child be demeaned,or have their wonder diminished,because of their ignorance or our inactivity;
|
|
Let no adults be deprived of discovery, because we lack the resources to discover their learning needs;
|
|
Let neither children nor adults - ever - doubt themselves or their minds because we are unsure of
|
| our commitment".....No Child Left Behind Credo |
Connecting to accomplishment...
…to open up the potential.
