Lighthouse Psychoeducational Services and Maureen Shea, NCSP/LPC/School Neuropsychologist,
offer a nationally certified, licensed and experienced professional staff to assist your student and family
in the following psychoeducational services:

- Psychoeducational assessment of children/youth between the ages of 3 and 21 using an individualized
assessment battery based on school neuropsychology principles and brain-based learning techniques.
- Counseling/Coaching children/youth with emotional/behavioral/self-esteem/social
skills/learning issues, either individually or in groups.
- Advocacy services with parents and school systems to foster productive working relationships
that lead to the best outcomes for children and youth during their education years. This service is based on
experience working within the
special education law framework for several years.
- Giving workshops/presentations for schools, parents, and the community
on a variety of topics such as children’s
learning and development, children’s emotional well-being, special education law, brain-based learning
techniques, stress management for parents and educators, etc.
- Coordinating child/youth-centered services for a particular child or
children, as well as referring clients
(children and youth, parents, schools, community agencies) to other professionals.
- Coaching students with ADHD and learning problems who need help with
executive function demands such as study skills,
time and project organization, note-taking, how to take exams, reading for meaning, etc.
- Facilitating wellness groups for parents, educators, and young adults to
ease parenting stress, educating stress, and adjustment to adulthood stress.
- Academic Remediation/Tutoring in reading, math and writing using the
latest research in diagnosis and evidence-based interventions
